Free really means free
No credit card, no trial that quietly starts billing, no data cap, and no device limit. You make an account with an email and you are in.
The catch, stated plainly
Free accounts are speed limited to about 10 Mbps. That is the one real limit. It is plenty for browsing and everyday use, and we tell you before you sign up, not after.
We do not sell your data

No ads, no trackers injected
We do not inject ads, affiliate scripts, or trackers into your traffic. A VPN that does that is doing the opposite of its job.

We run a number of other projects, and they come with more bandwidth than they use. That spare capacity is what powers vpn.now, so we can offer it free to everyone. We will never fund this by selling your data or showing you ads. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page first.

Will vpn.now make me anonymous online?
No VPN makes you fully anonymous, and we will not claim that. A VPN hides your IP address from websites and protects your traffic on untrusted networks. Sites can still recognize you if you log in or accept tracking cookies.
Which devices can use vpn.now today?
Windows, macOS, and Linux apps are available, and ChromeOS has guided built-in setup. iPhone and Android work through manual WireGuard setup while native mobile apps are still in development. There is no device limit.
