If you forgot your password
- Go to the log in page and click the "Forgot password" link.
- Enter the email address on your account.
- Check your inbox for a reset link. It is valid for a limited time, so use it soon.
- Choose a new password and log in.
The reset email goes to the address on file. If you no longer control that inbox, contact support and we will verify your identity another way.
If you know your password and want to change it
Log in, open your account settings, and use the change password form. You will need to enter your current password once, then your new password. The change takes effect right away on the website.
Changing your password does not disconnect your VPN devices. Device configs use their own keys, not your password. Your tunnels keep running, and the vpn.now app stays signed in on devices where you already logged in.
If you change your password because you think someone else may have it, also open the devices page and revoke any device you do not recognize. That cuts off access through a stolen config, which a password change alone does not do.
No reset email?
- Check your spam and promotions folders.
- Make sure you typed the same email you signed up with. Reset links only go to registered addresses.
- Wait a few minutes. Some mail providers are slow.
- Still nothing? Send us a message from the address you think is on the account.
Picking a good replacement
Use a password that is long, unique, and not based on personal facts. A password manager makes this easy. For more advice, read keeping your account secure.
A few quick rules:
- Make it at least 12 characters. Length beats complexity.
- Do not reuse a password from another site. If that site is breached, your vpn.now login should not fall with it.
- Skip names, birthdays, and pet names. Those are easy to guess.
