Delete Your Account
Summary
How to close your vpn.now account for good, what happens to your devices and data, and how deleting differs from cancelling.
Before you delete
Deleting your account is permanent. Before you go ahead, two things are worth checking:
- Refunds: if you are inside the first 30 days of a new subscription, you may qualify for a full refund. See refunds and the 30 day guarantee.
- Cancel vs delete: if you just want to stop paying, you can cancel your subscription and keep the account. Cancelling stops renewals but keeps your login in case you come back.
How to delete
- Log in and open your account settings.
- Find the delete account section at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm with your password.
If an active subscription is still running, cancel it first so you are not billed again. The settings page will warn you if that step is needed. The steps are in cancel your subscription.
Before you confirm, it is worth saving anything you want to keep. Once the account is gone, your device configs cannot be recovered and you would have to create new ones on a fresh account.
What gets removed
When you delete your account we remove your profile, your registered devices, and their VPN configs. Your devices stop connecting within minutes.
We keep only what the law requires, such as basic invoice records for tax purposes. We never stored your browsing activity, DNS queries, or traffic contents in the first place. You can read exactly what we store and for how long on our transparency page.
Changed your mind?
Deleted accounts cannot be restored. If you want to use vpn.now again you are welcome back any time, but you will need to sign up fresh from the pricing page.
