Where to look
The server status page shows every vpn.now location with its current state and load. It updates continuously, so it is the first place to check when something feels off. Bookmark it; it works even when you are not logged in.
What the statuses mean
- Online: the server is healthy and accepting connections.
- Degraded: the server works but is slower than normal or partially impaired. Connections succeed, but you may prefer another location until it recovers.
- Maintenance: we took the server down on purpose for updates. Planned maintenance is announced on the status page in advance when possible.
- Offline: the server is not accepting connections. Switch to another location.
When your server is down
Open the devices page, point your device at a different location, and import the updated config. Choosing a replacement is easier with the tips in how to pick a server.
Status looks fine but you cannot connect?
Then the problem is probably local: your network, firewall, or config. Work through cannot connect to the VPN. If you get stuck, contact support with the server name and the time you tried.
